CMS math students of Mrs. Duncklee, Mr. Foley and Mrs. Lewis participated again this year in the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Math-A-Thon. Friends and family members made monetary donations for the extra math work students did in their Math-A-Thon Funbooks. Students solved challenging math puzzles, games, word problems,and did computational math.
A family never receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food when their child is there battling cancer and other deadly diseases. Math-A-Thons, like ours, help pay for the care and ongoing research needed to find cures. We wish to thank our students, family members, and community for their tremendous support.
We are proud and amazed to announce the fifth and sixth graders earned $4,459.83 for St. Jude’s hospital. WOW!
